They have a multitude of uses, from those that are purely creative, to those that are purely business led. They can be use for those wanting to set themselves up as an authoritative voice on a particular subject.
Although not relevant to all business models, they can be an interesting way to present information that has a narrative thread. For example, news and event bulletins.
